This course is designed for those who not only love to shoot their 1911's, but want to learn
the inner workings of the platform and how to upgrade and fit aftermarket parts to their own
1911. The curriculum will also cover the history, design, function and maintenance of the firearm.
The course is a two day course that will typically be held on a Friday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

(214) 856-3976. Once you sign up for the class you will receive an e-mail with class
details including the date and time, what all you will need to bring with you, or what
we can provide for you for the class such as rental tools. If you wish to attend this class
you will need to bring a complete 1911 style pistol (preferably a Colt Style 1911 with some
form of dovetail sights). When dealing with aftermarket parts we require that you order
them from us to make sure they will match your specific firearm and we wont run into any
issues while fitting them.
The most commonly upgraded parts on a 1911 are the fire control components,
trigger & trigger bows, extended slide stops & safeties, magazine releases, mag
guides and sights. We will need to know the type of firearm you will be using 2
weeks prior to class to make sure we can have all the parts you will need here
at the shop in time for class. All parts ordered must be paid in full at the time
of order.
